Lehigh Valley newspaper The Morning Call had a tough year in 2020. Its owner, Tribune Publishing laid off 17% of the paper’s staff, then it shut down the paper’s Allentown newsroom.
The Morning Call is slated to shutter its newsroom in Allentown – it’s home for a century. It’s also one of five newsrooms being closed by the Chicago-based Tribune Publishing Company.
