The Lehigh Valley has seen a huge spike in coronavirus cases since Thanksgiving, according to a WLVR analysis of data from the state.
The state’s top health official is advising anyone who gathered inside over the past week to quarantine.
One doctor recommends Thanksgiving travelers get tested twice: when you return home and then again 3 to 5 days later: “This will notably increase the chance that you detect the virus over a longer incubation period.”
Coronavirus case counts continue to rise statewide with significant spikes among certain age groups. And as WLVR’s Genesis Ortega reports, Lehigh Valley health officials are seeing similar trends locally.
With Thanksgiving just a week away, local faith groups shared messages of gratitude during a special virtual service Sunday.
