Communities across the Lehigh Valley have been covered in white since the first big storm of February. And with warmer temperatures forecast, snow will be melting for the rest of the week.
The snow has stopped falling but it isn’t going anywhere anytime soon unless it’s moved. Bethlehem officials say they’re working hard to get to all the roads, including small alleyways cleared.
The Lehigh Valley is buried under more than two feet of snow. Officials are continuing to urge drivers to stay off the roads, although they say they’re in recovery mode, with the worst behind us.
As a snowstorm bears down on the Lehigh Valley, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation has placed a variety of restrictions on roads throughout the state.
Local officials are asking residents to stay home during the snowstorm, not only for their protection but for the safety of someone that could be miles away.
