While many Fourth of July festivities have been canceled this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are still plenty of places to catch some spectacular fireworks displays around the Lehigh Valley.

Fireworks are a fixture of the Fourth of July weekend. But residents of the Lehigh Valley have been starting the celebration early, and not everyone’s happy about it.

Organizers of Allentown’s Puerto Rican Parade and Festival say crowd concerns and new restrictions led them to cancel the July 26 event. But for organizers, the decision was a no-brainer.

The annual Dewey Fire Company carnival in Hellertown in mid-July is postponed due to COVID-19. But one part of the carnival will still happen, thanks to community support.

While many Memorial Day festivities have been canceled this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, there are still some ways you can honor veterans around the Lehigh Valley. WLVR’s Megan Frank has details.
