The City of Allentown started its vaccination clinic for the public on Jan. 25 at the Allentown Fairgrounds.

Day one saw a lot full of parked cars with eager residents waiting for their shot. Like Rose Schlossberg of Whitehall Township.

“We appreciate the government’s efforts and just hope they get it out as soon as they can and hopefully it’ll dispel some of the silly information that’s out there and we move on as a country,” she says.

The temporary clinic, housed in Agricultural Hall, runs until Friday. Appointments are required, and they are full through the end of the week.

The Allentown Health Bureau expects to vaccinate 500 people a day at the site.
