Lehigh University has temporarily suspended sports programs after students test positive for the coronavirus.

In a message sent to the campus community Tuesday by the university’s “COVID Response Team,” the school says it’s experienced its first confirmed cases in students living on campus – as well four new off-campus student cases. The school says the students were symptomatic.

The university says it has notified 60 close contacts many of which were student-athletes. The school’s athletics programs have been halted and this includes training and practices.

In the message, the school officials say they are concerned that some students are not always wearing masks.

Lehigh University is providing coronavirus information, which includes the number of cases on its online COVID dashboard.
