A settlement for free candy has been reached in a class-action lawsuit of Bethlehem-based company Just Born. The company, known for making Peeps, has been accused of stiffing people their fair share of two other popular candies. And as WLVR’s Tyler Pratt reports, now customers can reclaim their missing sweets or $3.3 million in refunds.

If you bought boxes of Mike and Ike or Hot Tamales candy between 2013 and the summer of this year, the lawsuit alleges you may not have gotten what you paid for. The settlement resolves a class-action lawsuit alleging the packaging had too much empty space and not enough candy, which was misleading to customers. Just born denies the allegations.

But they are offering refunds. Up to eight dollars a person. If you kept your receipts. If you didn’t then you can claim free candy- up to eight boxes – on the honor system. Either way, you can file a claim for a share of the settlement.
