How police departments use force in the line of duty has become a focus of protests and unrest across the country. Here in Pennsylvania, a number of bills in Harrisburg are aimed at addressing the issue. 

To unpack how impactful they may or may not be, WLVR’s Hayden Mitman recently spoke with Cynthia Fernandez, a reporter for Spotlight PA – an independent, non-partisan newsroom covering state government. They began the conversation talking about legislation that will require police departments throughout the state to provide a report on officers’ use of force.
