The Pennsylvania Supreme Court may rule this week on whether the Republican-controlled legislature can end Democratic Governor Tom Wolf’s pandemic emergency declaration. If the court rules in favor of the GOP – Wolf and the Republicans say utility cut-offs and evictions can resume.

Wolf credits his shutdown order for a steady decrease in the number of new cases as states like Arizona with less restrictions are spiking.

More than 500 new cases and nearly 40 new deaths were reported today. The total number of cases nears 90,000 with roughly nine percent of all cases in the Lehigh Valley.
