The daily rate of increase in coronavirus infections in Pennsylvania continues to trend downward as the state nears 80,000 cases. Speaking Monday, June 15, Governor Wolf called the low sustained case counts, “good news.”

“And Pennsylvania’s peak never really reached the heights of other states because we took early aggressive action.”

The Democratic governor is asking the Pennsylvania Supreme Court to intervene in his dispute with legislative Republicans who are trying to end pandemic restrictions he imposed in March to slow the spread of coronavirus.

Lehigh And Northampton county cases make up nearly 10 percent of infections statewide. The two counties remain in the yellow phase of social distancing guidelines and will not be entering into the green phase later in the week, unlike some neighboring counties.
