Details are still limited for President Donald Trump’s visit to the Lehigh Valley on Thursday, May 14.

According to Federal Aviation Administration flight data, it appears the president will arrive in Allentown in the afternoon. WLVR’s Tyler Pratt has more on the company he’s scheduled to tour.

The White House says Trump will visit Owens and Minor Incorporated medical distribution center in Upper Macungie.

State Representative Ryan Mackenzie, a Republican from Macungie, says the Fortune 500 company has been sending PPE like N95 masks, surgical gowns and gloves to healthcare centers across the country during the pandemic.

“This company is a Virginia based company that has been participating in the federal government’s project, Airbridge effort, which is an attempt to bring a lot more of the production and resources of PPE to the United States,” said Mackenzie.

Mackenzie, who is part of the local Trump reelection campaign in the Lehigh Valley, says the President’s visit speaks to the importance of the Lehigh Valley both as a manufacturing hub and political bellwether. A welcome rally for the president is planned for noon near the distribution center.
