President Donald Trump flew into Lehigh Valley International Airport on Thursday, May 14, for his visit to the Owens and Minor medical equipment company near Allentown. It was his first visit to the area as commander in chief.

WLVR’s Chloe Nouvelle filed this report from the scene.

Hundreds of people took up posts in parking lots and on roads that line the airport in Allentown. Kids even perched on top of cars. Waving Trump flags.

This, despite Lehigh County being under stay at home orders— just recently extended by Pennsylvania’s Democratic Governor Tom Wolf.

While many of those here welcomed the president’s visit, others just wanted to see Air Force One touch down right before their eyes.

From the airport, the President headed to a medical supplies distributor in Upper Macungie to see the Pennsylvanians keeping PPE flowing across the nation.
