Pennsylvania businesses that collect sales tax and make prepayments won’t have to submit them until the summer. The news comes from the office of the governor, which says  businesses that normally have a monthly Accelerated Sales Tax prepayments will not be charged penalties for missing deadlines over the next three months.

The Department of Revenue is waiving the prepayment requirements in April, May and June to help business owners with cash flow during the COVID-19 pandemic.  The department has also extended the deadline to file state personal income tax returns by 90 days. The new deadline of July 15 is the same as the new federal deadline.
