Some Pennsylvania outdoor recreation activities can begin Friday. The governor’s office announced this week golf courses, marinas, guided fishing trips and privately owned campgrounds may reopen statewide on May 1st.  State campgrounds will not be allowed to reopen until the middle of May.

Businesses that reopen will have to follow safety guidelines issued by the state, and people who participate are being asked to still stay close to home and maintain social distancing. The governor’s office says it hopes this will help Pennsylvanians maintain physical and mental health

On Friday construction will also be allowed to resume, and on May 8th, counties with low case counts may possibly begin to allow more businesses to open up in person operations. This will not apply to Lehigh and Northampton Counties.
