Girl scouts are usually selling cookies this time of year, but COVID-19 has left them with a surplus of goodies and no way to sell them.

As WLVR’s Haley O’Brien reports, some Girl Scouts in Carbon County found an alternative.

“Thank you for all you do, love the brownie troop.”

That’s Casey Rich, he’s an EMT at Lehighton ambulance, and he just received some cookies with a personalized note from Reagan Leclair, a brownie from Nesquehoning.

“I wanted to donate to them because I wanted to brighten their day,” said Leclair.

Reagan’s mom Christine posted on Facebook and the donations started pouring in. One hundred and fifty boxes of girl scout cookies were given to area first responders, hospital employees, and urgent care facilities.
