Lehigh Valley Groups Launch Effort to Draw Young Professionals to Area

For the first time, three regional promotional powerhouses – the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce, the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation and Discover Lehigh Valley – are aligning their marketing messages to get more people to live, work and visit the region.

It’s all for a campaign called “Made Possible in the Lehigh Valley.”

Don Cunningham, President of LVEDC, says one goal is to reach 18 to 34 year olds through sites like Instagram.

“If a young professional is taking a look at coming to Bethlehem versus Nashville, they need to find out what Bethlehem is all about. So, they go to social media sources and they want to see who else like them who is already here,” says Cunningham.

All three local organizations will contribute to the campaign’s $500,000 annual budget.

The “Made Possible” initiative also offers a cost of living calculator on its website.
