Quick Station Update

Quick station update from your friends here at WLVR:

  • Lehigh University lost power briefly this morning at 10:47am. The station was back on the air when the power was back but online streaming was down until 2:32pm when we turned the computer back on. Sorry for any inconvenience.
  • The semester is coming to an end so expect to switch over to the community programing at the end of this week.

Thanks for making us your #1 Preset,

-WLVR

The 2011 Halloween Blizzard

As most of you have noticed, WLVR has been off the air since Saturday, October 29.

Due to the snow storm that passed us by, Lehigh University and subsequently WLVR has been without power for the last couple of days.

Now that power has been restored on campus, WLVR will be slowly returning to normal. Student shows will mostly likely return by tomorrow  but will be restricted until we can get in contact with Student Activities to determine when club activities may resume.

We are sorry for any inconvience that this may have caused and thanks for sticking with us all this time.

From your #1 preset in the Lehigh Valley,
WLVR

WLVR Discussions

[Update] Discussion system updated and renamed to the community. Please see this post for details.

As some people may have seen, there was a old chat box link based in Google Docs. For what it did, it worked but now as we are upgrading and building a new website, I have decided to update this into a full feature for the WLVR community.

Introducing WLVR Discussions! Powered by Vanilla Forums, it is a simple forum to talk about anything related to WLVR from the music we play to the the shows and DJs that we feature throughout the year. It is a great place to connect with both the DJs and other listeners from around the world.

You can find the new discussions link on our main menu bar.

Have a Smartphone?

As you may or may not known, we had built a custom webpage for people with iPods and iPhones. However, that was hand built and had to be updated manually.

Now with our new webpage, we now can support iPhones, iPads, Android & Blackberry and more. Loading WLVR.org should automatically load a optimized version of our site which will be updated as our site gets updated.

There is still some work to be done to make it better but we are rolling out the new feature now so you can test it out.

As a reminder, for people with iOS devices, you can add the webpage on the home screen.
First, go to WLVR.org
Touch the “+” and select “Add To Home Screen”
And there you go. WLVR’s new and now improved mobile website is now on your home screen.

New Website!

Update: What do you think? Leave some feedback in the comments field below.

Hey everyone! As you may have noticed, we have transitioned to a new website. Our old one was getting sort of outdated and the E-Board of WLVR to get an updated look. Also, our old website was starting to act up as well as other issues with the previous host.

But anyways, we will be working with the new site to optimize what we have and to introduce new features. If there is any questions, comments, or things you would like to see on our website, feel free to contact us and we’ll take your thoughts into consideration.

We do apologize as the site was quickly moved and some links and images are broken but we will be working to get everything up and running.

I hope you enjoy it and as always, thanks for listening to WLVR, The Valley’s #1 Preset!
